Mani climbed up the stairs. She didn't feel much pain in her knees now as compared to the last few days. It felt like a silent warning to her; that she should never hurt her knees again. 

She let out a breath as she found another person already in the terrace, leaning against the railing and gazing at the cityscape. It was as if the buildings had stolen stars from the sky and put them within themselves. Lights shone bright against her eyes.
